SENIOR/SENIOR TRANSLATOR/EDITOR (ENGLISH-SPANISH)

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating and editing marketing and customer-facing materials ensuring that the end product meets LatinLingua’s high quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Translates and edits project materials using the appropriate tools and reference files as per project specs.
Performs linguistic QA on translations made by in-house team and external resources.
Develops and maintains customer- or subject-matter-specific materials, such as glossaries, terminology bases, and style guides.
Helps to resolve language issues together with in-house team and client reviewers
Participates in the assessment of translation and terminology management tools

Required skills and qualifications

Degree in translation or linguistics
3+ year experience as a linguist, translator, editor or reviewer
Must be fluent in written and verbal English communication
Native Spanish speaker with excellent writing skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented, quality-focused
Excellent command of MS Office and CAT tools (mainly SDL Trados)
Strong touch typing skills
Proven previous experience in translation agency a plus
Marketing background or copywriting experience a plus
