Enterprise Portal Developer (code Ed)

Sabre holdings, the world's leader in travel technology, is looking for an experienced developer to design, develop, test, implement, and support complex web portal enhancements and solutions using tibco 5.2 portal builder. the chosen candidate will be based at our new development center in buenos aires and will gather and document technical requirements, conduct code reviews, mentor developers, create test scripts and migration plans, perform implementations, troubleshoot issues, rotate pager support, and provide formal project communication to management. coordinate with business owners, project managers, third-party vendors, and developers in implementing and supporting enhancements to the enterprise web portal platform (intranet).
For this position, we require the following skills and experience:
• fluency in english (written, verbal)
• development and administrative expertise with an enterprise portal development tool, tibco portal builder version 4.6.2 and higher desired
• demonstrated integration of multiple applications and application content into a single enterprise portal environment.
• five years' experience developing robust enterprise-class java applications using java 1.4 or higher; sun certified java programmer (scjp) preferred.
• expertise with iplanet, unix, and oracle 8/9i.
• extensive knowledge of xml, xslt, dhtml, html, javascript, ejb, jdbc, jsp, servlets, css, and web services.
• strong exposure to ldap/ad, netegrity siteminder, open source platform (lamp), and industry standards such as rss and jsr 168.
• experience in full development lifecycle methodologies including strong object oriented design and case analysis.
• excellent troubleshooting skills; must be able to use source code management, java ide, and web statistics tools.
• excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment are essential.

Preferred skills and experience:
• professional experience in a web development/support and maintenance environment.
• experience with enterprise content management systems desirable

Education requirements:
• university degree in computer science, business computer information systems, or similar technical/educational equivalent work experience.
